Yesterday the LAStheatre team went to the NCCPE's Engage Awards 2014 at the Natural History Museum, London.
We were blown away to win the award for BEST STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) PROJECT for Deadinburgh!
The awards were for a whole range of activities including comics, archaeological digs, comedy nights, dance projects and theatre productions that engaged the public in research from the UK's academic institutions.
Through a "big, loud, challenging live zombie movie – with mass audience participation" (Scotsman) Deadinburgh introduced the audience to ground breaking research by The University of Edinburgh, The Roslin Institute, The Wellcome Trust Centre for Cell Biology, Heriot-Watt University,Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. We share this award with each and every one of them.
Our thanks go out to the huge team of cast, creatives and crew who made Deadinburgh the success that it was - and continues to be.
