LAStheatre have created experiential events for institutions and companies including Hendricks Gin, Google, National Museums of Scotland, Kings College and Kew Gardens. We have also provide consultancy to a number of agencies including The Gate Interactive and Steely Fox.
LAStheatre produced a series of events for Google’s City Experts programme. These events included Spy Night and an after hours event at the Museum of London called Maybe It’s Because I’m A Londoner.
The audience located the venue for Spy Night using edible maps. On their arrival each agent was met by a handler and given a personalized folder of missions to complete over the course of the evening including additional spy training with Q.
At the Museum of London, LAStheatre created an interactive evening of theatrical antics for Google. The evening consisted of a treasure hunt through the museum, characters bringing the exhibits to life and a host of creative challenges along the way.
LAStheatre are regular curators of the Hendricks Carnival of Knowledge – productions include the Festival of Dreams (Brighton Fringe) and Science of Cocktails (London Cocktail Festival).
These events were a mixture of curious theatrical happenings and interactive workshops.
The Festival of Dreams included a Dream Laboratory where dreams were stimulated by different sensory inputs. The participant then created an art work in response to their dream. Finally psychiatrist, Dr. Bryony Crowe, attempted to analyse its meaning.
The Science of Cocktails included a collaboration with Steve Pearce, CEO of flavour and fragrance firm Omega Ingredients, who created the smell of space for NASA. Through an interactive session the audience learnt about the subtle magic of the Martinez and the science behind a Sazerac.
National Museums of Scotland
Zombies In The Museum was a LAStheatre production for National Museums Scotland. It was part of Scotland Creates, a national project working with partner museums, young adults and creative partners. Under the guidance of LAStheatre, Zombies In The Museum was devised by young adults, for young adults.
An evil genius has hatched a plan to turn the population of Scotland into zombies. During routine renovations to the National Museum of Scotland, ten crates were admitted to the building containing new exhibits. One of them is not what it seems.
